2006 Honda CB919 (Honda Hornet) $4,900 OBO

For sale is my 2006 Honda CB919 (also known as a Honda Hornet). It’s a standard bike but with quite a bit of “oomph”. This motor is a de-tuned version of the CBR929rr motor, producing 97 HP and 67 ft/lbs of torque.

Specs:

2006 Honda CB919
919cc
~7,000 miles
Renthal Ultra Low bars
Bar-end mirrors
Rizoma Grab Bar Caps
ASV knock-off Adjustable Clutch and Shift Levers
Fender eliminator
Clear Alternatives Integrated Tail
Mini LED front turn signals
Painted headlight trim (black)
Painted headlight bracket (black)
Painted Airbox Covers (black)
De-baffled Stock Exhaust Cans

The tires are in decent shape, I would say they are good for the rest of the season at the very least.

I changed the oil the first day I purchased the bike (Repsol 4T Full Synthetic), as well as flushed the old/original brake fluid for all new fluid.

Brake pads are in great shape, both front and rear.

Fork seals and gaskets are completely sound, nothing on this bike leaks.

No scratches, no dings, never been dropped and absolutely never wheelied.

The bike has a clean title, no issues. I will have to get a lien release from my credit union upon sale but I’ve spoken with them and it will absolutely not be an issue.

I am asking $4,900 OBO. I will not accept low offers and/or trades.

NO test rides without cash in hand. I’ll start it up cold when/if possible.

Thanks everyone,

Reason for sale? I feel like you just got this thing!

GLWS!

Cafe bike is going to be done soon, I’d rather sell this to make room in the garage for a 1st gen Miata. No use having two motorcycles.

Also, this is how you post a FS ad, new people…take note.

This.

GLWS, i’ll keep an eye out for cafe thread updates!

Added Craigslist posting and new pictures.

Looks nice, free bump.

Shouldn’t you disclose that the bike may need a clutch very soon??

Shouldn’t you be stealing boyfriends and riding around in retarded pick up trucks? Oh wait.

The clutch is fine, it was out of adjustment from when I installed the new levers. My concern was that the pressure plates were worn, but it was actually because the lever wasn’t allowing for full disengagement of the clutch with how I had it set up. To be sure, I pulled the clutch basket out, no warping or excessive wear on any of the parts. New oil, new adjustment and it’s shifting fine, no slipping, no rough engagements into gear, nothing.

Thanks though.

Bump, took the bike to Buff State today to run some errands, everything is working fine…as it should be.

Price adjustment: $4,700 OBO

I didn’t realize I had this listed above NADA value.

Bump!

nice first picture you got there

Bump, had a guy coming today but he decided to bail at the last minute.

I’d like to state again, and someone quote me:

There is nothing wrong with this motorcycle. It operates 100% as a 2006 Honda CB919 should. It’s in perfect condition both mechanically and aesthetically.

What about architecurally?

Great seller, free bump
