Hyundai - Tib of old… and Tib of new. 500% improvement.
GM - The GTO is a much better bargain than the Camaro/TransAm was.
GM - The solstice/sky will be cool, I’m considering one.
Buick - The lacrosse is a step in the right direction, should have been supercharged.
Aurora - Pretty fricken sweet car, FYI - It has a GTP motor, and is said to have more TQ due to the ECU being different. (Not all Auroras have the GTP motor.
I think there is a supercharged Lacrosse. If you look around some of them have dual exhaust. My grandparents just bought one. Nice car, but 3.8, no charger, no duals.
Edit: Cancel that. The 3.6l DOHC must be the car with dual exhaust. I stand corrected.
I bet you were sitting when you wrote that.
Actually, no Auroras were available with the GTP engine.
They used the L47 V8 and the LX5 V6 became an option when they were redesigned.
wtf, maybe in the last 20 years…
GS340/GS400/GS455/GSX?
510 lbs/ft of torque? peaking under 3k rpm? :nite:
riviera?
or…
centuries? (and not the one your grandma just bought in FL)
skylark?
roadmasters? (when they had nothing to do with caprices)
etc.
plenty of nice buicks out there. shit, I didn’t even go pre-'49 for that list. buick used to be about style and power. now it’s about blue hair and geritol runs.
I was actually thinking the regal… but i figured cause they look the same… they got the same motor. Please tell me more. Which Aurora came SC’d and what motor was it?
UGLY
The Regal wasn’t even an Olds.
A tidpit of info: The Lacrosse is called the Allure in Canada, because in Quebec “Lacrosse” is a slang word for, uhm, self-indulgence.
You could get the 3.8 s/c in the 95+ Buick Rivieras, which I guess looked sort of similar to the Aurora other than, you know, having two doors.
Mitsubishi was partially owned by Chrysler. I’m still unclear how much they own, if any, today.
Toyota’s Luxury line is Lexus
Honda’s Luxury line is Acura
Subaru is paritally owned by GM
Nissan is owned by Renault
Mazda is owned by Ford
No, Honda & Toyota are not owned by any company.
No Japanese car manufacturer is owned by another that I can think of
i think Gm is the worst offender of badge swapping whats the difference between a Chevy truck and an GMC truck?
Trailblazer = envoy = Raineer
Cavalier = sunfire
Cobalt = Ion
the list goes on and on.
'06 Sonata I think.
Ive got an '05 Elantra and its the best car Ive ever owned. I wont be buying another GM after having my Blazer.
So what about the Infiniti something, and the Nissan 350Z being the same car?
Any link between the 2 companies? Because to me, it’s obvious the car is the same…
I’m sure someone here knows which Infiniti I’m talking about…
And I bet the model name has a Q in it somewhere…
i think its alright
G35?
Bah… yea… I thought it had a goddamn Q in it… but yea… that…
350Z = G35
Of course. Infiniti is Nissan’s luxury line.

The Solstice is already available. The first allocation of the cars are all sold but you can literally go into a Pontiac dealership and “buy” one right now. You wouldn’t receive it in Buffalo until the winter or early next year though, I think.
grrrrrrrrrrrrrr
