Those solenoids do go bad. Resistance test before just cleaning and crossing your fingers
From what I understand their are an exhaust and intake solenoid
I have replaced the exhaust one before which needed the case relearn - http://www.nyspeed.com/showthread.php?223111-Anyone-have-a-Tech-2-scanner-that-can-assist
I just had them do the solenoid and the idle relearn. I bought the mass air flow sensor and replaced it in the parking lot of the dealership
Unrelated and not worth a new thread…
I cleaned my TB and replaced the plugs on my envoy. lost 1 mpg after too…
Turns out the thermostat and/or temp sensor is bad and most likely has been for some time.
Currently getting about 9 mpg. The ECU runs really rich until it reaches temp. Based on OBD data, my truck never gets hotter than 180-185 and that is low enough
to keep dumping fuel and probably killed my cat.
So, thats something else to keep an eye out for.
38,000 miles…
9mpg is worse than I get lol
Is it wrong that I lust after trucks that get 15 mpg and can pull down a building?
No, it’s sexy
