And it appears that this year will be the same as last. I’m telling ya, either Loeb signed his soul over to Satan… or he is Satan. :gotme:
…but look how fast Sordo was, too.
And Subaru people should be impressed at how well Atkinson drove. Hell, he even beat Solberg. Seems like those Pirelli tires were one of the team’s big problems last year.
One other thing to consider is that the Fords were on the wrong tires, that could account for them not being able to keep up with the C4s.
Mexico is the event that is going to be really interesting, when Subaru brings their 2007 car, and hopefully Ford will bring the right tires.
enormously sideways is fubared, plus the guy is putting them in a weird format that you need to download a standalone codec for :bloated:
Time to torrent. Anyone have the torrents for Day 3 and the preview?
EDIT: None of the torrents work, does anyone have working torrents?
They all worked for me, but would you just like me to burn you a DVD? I’ve already done the full conversion on it anyway.
enormouslysideways is having bandwidth issues. As for the codec problems, I didn’t notice, but I have the “xp codec pack” installed, and I never have a problem playing anything.
For those on bizarro, I have them posted
Finally got around to watching the vids. I am glad to see Subaru finally finish a race with both cars! Maybe Pirelli was just a bad omen for them.
Funny thing about the tires is that Subaru was running Pirelli for YEARS (and won championships with them) before all the problems happened last season. I’m thinking Michelin (now BFG) came up with something last year that Pirelli couldn’t match. A single tire make is better though, as it puts everybody on a level playing field.
But, the #1 guys on all three factory teams need to watch their backs, as the #2 guys are pushing them and setting fastest stage times…
I really liked the night stages too. It makes for a good change up to the normal routine.
This year’s Monte Carlo was alot different than what I’ve seen in the last couple of years, night stages included. I really liked the super-special stage on day 3 using part of the F1 course. It was much better than the stadium-based ones that you normally see, IMO. They did mention that they were trying to bring back alot of the things that you saw in the earlier days of the rally, which was cool.
Rally Sweden is this weekend (Feb 9-11), get your BitTorrent clients ready…
I’ve got Norway vids (as well as Monaco and Sweden) hosted on my site. PM me for the address.
Cool, even though I’ve already got them…
Sweet. Where’s the preview?
No preview was posted from what I’ve seen…
Gotta love Marcus Grönholm interviews
Reporter: So do you think you can keep pace with your teammate Miko?
MG: Well, the cars are the same, and the colors are the same too so yes, I think so.
