updated price, no longer $5000, now $4500 FIRM
(see last post for price change explanation)
Up for sale is my 2008 Yamaha YZF-R6s Raven (gloss on flat black), 100% stock and never modified.
This is my first motorcycle. I bought it brand new from Bert’s motorsports in April of 2008. I took it back to Bert’s for all the scheduled break-in maintenance, paperwork is included.
This bike has never been downed, dropped, beaten, wheelied or ANYTHING negative. I managed to put a very tame 5426 miles on it. It’s a blast to ride with a very enjoyable and manageable power level down low and a lot of pep up top. Like I said, this was the very first street bike that I owned, and I never once felt like I was on a bike that was too unmanageable for my skill level.
As of now it’s still sitting in my storage shed, which leads to the reason I’m selling. I started a new job this year that I will be at for a very long time, and in the past several months I’ve come to the realization that I just won’t have time to ride any more. I’ll be in NYC all next week, Mississauga a couple weeks after that, etc. I simply can’t go riding and it’s just taking up space.
Since it is still in storage, I haven’t snapped any “new” photos of it, except for the current mileage and a few from last summer. As it stands the only thing it needs is to be de-winterized and a new set of tires, which will be purchased and installed, probably only if I get anyone that’s actually interested in buying it. If not, it will just stay in storage in it’s current state. There are no miles being put on it, and it’s safe where it is.
I know the market is all wonky, but I’m going to set a starting price at $6700. It’s not overly firm, but I’m also not overly stressed about selling asap. I’ll need a day or two notice before anyone can come look at it so I can get it out and viewable.
SOOO, cliffs:
2008 R6s Raven, 5426 miles, 100% stock, never downed, will need nothing, no time to ride, located just outside of Orchard Park.
