sounds pretty lame
So Turbo runs 9.1s with a TH400 tranny, but you need a Powerglide to run 11.5s?..
:rolljerk:
 at running out of RPM running 11.5
Did you factor for converter slip?
Whats your definition of “race gas”
(may be wrong here) but I have been told on more than one occasion that glides only really shine when they are in a lighter car like sub 3200lbs, due to the high first gear and the big jump to the high gear. In a heavier car this does nothing but work against you.
so why run a glide? It does not seem like the right choice for your :snky: boat of a car.
(if I am wrong someone with real experience please correct me)
He is claiming ~3k lbs
Oh I thought I read 3800 lbs somewhere… oh well I am wrong.
Edit: went back a few pages and he says 2500 lbs…
I was way off, I wonder where I got the 3800 from?
:bsflag:
must be a gay monza
Thats pretty much the same line of thinking I have always heard…they work really well in high hp/really light weight cars.
Edit: he said 3400lbs some where before
cars 2800 with karter its 3400 haha
i didnt say 3400 anywhere, the car should be between 2500 and 2600 race ready with me in it.
Speedped thinks its a vega, so roll with that
hes also scared to race me once he found out hes not the only one with aluminum heads.
and to anwser deebos question, 13.5:1 so yes race gas
Please don’t make me search back you said 3400 in this thread.
search back, the car i have wasnt even 3400 fully loaded street car.
so get on that and report back with results.
You’ll probabaly find i was talking about ls1 guys and them having 3400lb cars.
2500lbs with you in it?
so the car is 2200lbs?
eek
Is it a RWD CIVIC!??!
vega or some other fggty little car
powerglide
13.5 compression alum heads
slicks
6mpg
race gas
=
11.5 ?
might be.
aiming low
Man if I was building a car that could be no fun on the street and prolly looks like a bag of ass that shit better pop off some 8’s. Jus sayin.
Drew why build a quick street car when you can build a slow drag car??
2010 its a whole new game…
