I almost like that interior. I think I would morph that silver plastic into black/carbon fiber/leather covered though. It looks cheapy.
You guys keep bitching about resale, however right now there isnt a car out there with decent resale in this shitty economy. I can buy a used e60 m5 for low to mid 30’s with 50,000miles and only 3 yrs old. these cars cost around 100k new. nothing with 4 wheels is holding value right now.
I just found out that the motor in the Turbocharged 4cyl genisis is the Mitsubishi 4B11 aka the same motor in my EvoX (not the same turbo though). That is a good thing form a mod perspective. Should be able to get this car pretty quick for not much cash.
If that’s true that is crazy, the HKS car must have been a lot easier for them to build then they give HKS credit for.

I wish every dealer required a deposit to test drive. It would keep the window lickers with no intent or means to purchase from beating on cars.
show up in a nice car and the deposit will not be necessary.
I was told by a few salesmen at the Mazda dealership that I would need to make a purchase commitment to drive a Mazdaspeed 3. Showed up in the 350z roadster and they basically just handed the keys right over.
I would never commit to buying a car without test driving it. I would walk away from the deal anyday.
Which is reasonable, but I’d still rather see them require the deposit from everyone. I don’t see what the problem with requiring a refundable deposit is. If you’re serious about the buying it’s not a big deal and would really discourage the people who have no means to purchase from beating on cars they have no chance of buying.
I thought that technically, a deposit on a car is non-refundable?

i don’t know but dan georger wouldn’t let me test drive a evoX and i pulled up in my sti… i think some dealers just think that these cars are more interesting than they really are.

I test drove ~10 cars before buying my BMW. I beat the snot out of each one, because that is how I drive my cars 90% of the time. If I didn’t feel the car was up to my standards, done.
Though on test drive weekend I didn’t drive my Vette to each dealer, even though you can get them dirt cheap now.
I was at a used car dealership test driving a C32 AMG, and the guy offered to let me drive a Lambo (they had 6 for sale). I respectfully declined. He said I must “know” how to drive. I think he just wanted me to rip around in a Lambo with him.
I know it is kind of hard to believe but, you could slap on an FP red, Injectors, new front mount and a full 3" TBE (around $3k) and be making that kind of power on and Evo X. I’d assume that you could do the same on this car. Probably more whp also becasue of less driveline loss. I am very skeptical about this car and am not too keen on the looks and quality(interior/exterior). I am however trying to keep my mind open though. If HKS put one of these cars together, it must be a relatively good platform.

Personally, i have nothing against these cars, and the company as a whole. Not my first choice in a vehicle, but decent cars nontheless.
My friend sells Hyundai’s, and makes like a million dollars a year doing so. In his drunken stooper, he tells me that Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Toyota, Honda, VW are all garbage, and that Hyundai is the best car company and their cars are the best also, nothing can beat a Genesis blahblahblah…
