	 	 	<b> Exterior</b>

Look the part

The 2014 Silverado is an athlete, muscular yet refined. We’ve taken the classic aesthetics of Silverado to a new level with a taller dual power dome hood, wider, stronger styling and wraparound bumper and fender flares. The signature-stacked headlamps blend Silverado heritage with modern styling. The durable and smartly redesigned pickup box makes it easy to access, organize and secure your cargo.

<b> New wider wheels improve handling</b>

The new half-inch wider 17", 18", and 20" wheels provide greater on-center feel and crisper control during subtle steering movements.

 		<b> New pickup box design</b>

The new pickup box is expertly crafted from long-lasting roll-formed steel. A 6' 6" box is now available for Crew Cab, giving you more cargo room. Depending on the cab, 8' and 5' 8" box configurations are also available.

 		<b> Easy-to-use loading features </b>

The top-of-the-line pickup boxes for the 2014 Silverado include smart features that let you customize the way you secure cargo. Organize your cargo how you want with four standard lower tie-downs and four additional available upper tie-downs. Standard bed rail protectors improve damage resistance, load after load.

	<b> Designed for truck use</b>

The all-new interior is developed entirely around functionality, but with premium materials and the smartest technologies. The new front seats are built for all-day comfort, and a reimagined use of interior space provides more rear-seat leg room in the Crew Cab. From the driver seat, controls are grouped by function and strategically located for optimum visibility and accessibility. And if you want to talk “organized,” new control pods connect you to top-of-the-line technology while the reconfigurable center console features spaces for laptops, hanging file storage, multiple [USB ports†](http://www.chevrolet.com/2014-silverado-pickup-trucks.html#content_chevrolet_northamerica_usa_nscwebsite_en_index_trucks-and-vans_2014-silverado_model-overview_jcr-content_cnt_legalpage_c1_disclaimers_disclaimer_c1_1), and more.

 		<b> Instruments and steering wheel</b>

A new 6-gauge instrument cluster with an upright design includes the available Enhanced Driver Information Center. It displays your truck’s vital stats like trailer brake settings and coolant temperature. Plus, it works with the available 8-inch Chevrolet [MyLink Radio†](http://www.chevrolet.com/2014-silverado-pickup-trucks.html#content_chevrolet_northamerica_usa_nscwebsite_en_index_trucks-and-vans_2014-silverado_model-overview_jcr-content_cnt_legalpage_c1_disclaimers_disclaimer_c1_2) to display the channel or song you’re listening to. Best of all, steering wheel-mounted controls allow you to flip through the displays, activate the available heated steering wheel, change songs, and set the cruise control without ever taking your hands off the wheel.

6.2L V8 engine†

The 6.2L V8 is engineered to produce maximum power and towing capability plus a new level of efficiency.

Sorry I’m late on this but it was released this morning and needless to say we have been jammed with inquiries.

I’ll try and post anything I can get as it comes in.

There is a cool video on the page.
http://www.chevrolet.com/2014-silver...up-trucks.html

at least it looks a lot better from the inside… Front end remind me of the colorado… just bigger. I just bought a 2013 f-150 fx4 and it remind me of the same dash set up (as all trucks are beginning to have… big touch screen etc.)

That new Color Touch MyLink radio is amazing. The connectivity with Apple Products, voice commands, internet radio and very soon we will even have Siri.

 front end is pretty ugly

Why is it that the GMC’s always get the better design for the front end?

 looks nice

pretty ugly…

Conservative.

When are these due to hit the lots?

From the looks, I’ll wait to seem them in person, but I’ll probably grab the GMC next year.

Any idea if this is just the 1500 designs or if this is across all the trucks? (2500/3500)

GM needed to do this 4 years ago. Fords have been able to blue tooth sync since 2009?

As of now I’ll keep my ECO BOOOOOST over an ECO TECH lol.

With all the hype GM has been building over these trucks I really expected to see something substantially better.

The short 4 door ex cab is cool, Dodge did that what 5 or 6 years ago? lol I like that GM is finally offering longer beds with crew cab like Ford has been for the last 3 years lol.

Nothing like playing catch up.

I like the look

Summer 2014, the 2500/3500 usually come out the following year

I am sure you are happy a new cash cow is hitting the lot, but I am more anxious to see the SUVs built on the platform. I was underwhelmed with the update, but I guess don’t scrap what is working and just refine, sort of the porsche way.
I did find it funny that there will be an LT1 and 4.3 V6 in GM’s lineup again.

im really into it. i think it looks tough as shit.

That dash is offensive. But I do like the Pandora, etc. integration.

I do agree though, GMC always got the longer stick on front end design.

it’s a new 4.3 aluminum and direct injection and maybe afm? The theory is that its an engine just for trucks not a “car” v6 just thrown in there.

humm that 4.3L block should be the same as all the older ones being 350 based. I wonder if you can swap this bottom end into a syclone or typhoon for weight savings.

I wonder why they don’t supercharge or turbo charge their smaller engine to get big power and fuel savings

Cuz gm has been a day late and a dollar short on everyone of there designs as of late. Lets see how these new engines do.

InB4OMGwhywon’tpplbuy20013trucks?!?!?!?!

Marketing genious…
