240 sx good car?

Im currently driving a 92 nissan max and im thinking of buying a 240 sx , I just wanted to know if the 240 is a good and reliable car , any common problems etc … what should i look for when i buy one

any help would be appreciated

no it’s a terrible car. that’s why we’re all here.

this is actually the 240SX haters club of ontario.

do we ever respond to inquiries politely here?

its good, but you gotta do your own research bro.

check tech sections on here and other big US boards like FA, zilvia, nico etc.

i was just joking. no harm done.

the main thing you’ll be looking for, especially around here, is RUST! frame rails, rocker panels, quarter panels, strut towers, door jams, hatch, a-pillars, floor…cancer loves these cars. and Ontario’s over-salting problem in the winter doesn’t help at all. be SURE to check every one of these places when checking out 240. if any of them have serious rust, the car is probably dead or will need some work. if you leave the rust and ignore it, it’ll just get worse.

Hey, as Bing said, you should do some more research but here’s a little plug that sold me. The 2.4L engine is highly reliable and in my past 240sx at 298,000km it didn’t burn a drop of oil.

EDiT: wtf… i meant to start a new thread… disregard this post

EDIT: The guy at the Nissan dealership said that the 240SX and the Pathfinder have had the least problems and were brought in the least for repairs out of all nissan vehicles. He told me this when my mom was looking for an altima, so yea… Wouldn’t exactly call it biased.

Ugh, i hate noobs.
