2GB hotmail accounts..hotness!

you take 10 e-mails with a 1mb attachment each then you just used your old standard sized mailbox.

this arguement is retarded cause you can look at it from whatever way you want. but take joe shmoes grandma who’s kids send her picture through e-mail. say each picture is 700k it starts to add up after a while… who cares how big mailboxes are anyways? its not like you are paying for them.

its just the evolution of the computer, i have a 800mb hard drive sitting at home maybe you can use that since you don’t want to spend to much time on the computer and use a 40gb hard drive… its the same concept

I see 2GB

i want it to attach pictures to send to people while i am gone

and i am sure people will send you pictures via e-maill too… and i am sure you would like to keep them

they are turning e-mail into a repository for files and messages…

if you say e-mail is not good for file transferring then you explain to a user like my mom how to use FTP

I know its technological evolution. I just think that much space for that type of service is obsurd. I rely heavily on my web mail account through yahoo for everyday BS and notifications and what not because its readily accessible. But if I know someone is going to send me files I would rather use my POP3. That way once I get them, I can store them on my HD. Just a personal preference obviously. Even if someone does send them to my yahoo account, I still save them on my HD.

Maybe next week we can all sign up for our free 1TB accounts…

yes, the title says 2 GB, but we are talking about hotmail in general, so when the size limit comes up thats where the 2 MB comes up and how having a bigger account would be nice so that you wouldn’t be hindered by that small limit

ok, gotcha. I didn’t know hotmail was being referenced entirely. 2mb sucks.

there we go, lol

i’ve been using gmail for a while now (1gb) and still, i have 0% out of 1GB…

email is evolving… i just hope everything doesn’t go PKI

i like my gmail…

how much you wanna bet that video mail grows and thats why they are upping the mail storage?

i never thought of that great point
