couldn’t agree more.
it’s like somebody building a clean, well built 240 or RX-7 with an american V8 in it. the purists go ape-shit with the flames and the “WHY???”, when they should still be able to appreciate it for the fact that it’s still a fast, well-built car, and should definitely appreciate it for the fact that it’s unique.
come to think of it, RX-7 purists go ape-shit if you put ANYTHING other than a rotary in an RX-7…i mean yeah rotaries can be sick motors but christ, even american made V8’s are more reliable (albeit a shit-load heavier).
bottom line: appreciate it for what it IS, and not what it “SHOULD BE”.
