Oh there are some gems on that board. After reading ZD’s thread about fixing a noise by swapping to a bigger block I decided to google 3.2L VR6’s. Granted I would never put that kind of time/money into my car but hey it’s always fun to daydream/read/not work.

Thats funny, but there are dumb asses on every forum, especially large ones like the vortex. They do seem to flock to the mk4 forum though
I know, it’s weird. There is a ton of useful info in the stickies there, but I honestly have no idea how it got there. :gotme: My most recent adventure was asking for a wiring diagram of the A/C system and getting a breakout of the coolant plumbing. I appreciated the guy’s effort in posting it and all, but :ham:

that’s not even bad. try selling your vr on there. then when you sell your car, try selling the random parts for it you have laying around. I wanted to fucking shoot myself everytime I had to deal with one of those tards.
I clicked on a link walker sent me for some kid selling e30 seats on the tex (this was about 6 months after I sold eveything I had and hadn’t been back to the tex since) and about 20 im’s poped up “yo u selltha intake?” “is the vr6 still 4 sale?” not to mention the kid on the tex from skanectity (sp) who sent me photoshoped pics of his mk2 gli and I drove all the way there to trade only to arrive there to find a haggered pos.

you know, I had a tire iron sitting on the floor of my passenger seat and I was thinking to myself, I could just fucking pummel this kid right now and leave town… but I didn’t. I kinda regret it. then he called me a few days later and we had a few words… its a long story.
the kid had yellow eyes. fucking YELLOW EYES. I don’t think I had\will ever be as mad again as I was on the drive home.
I usually go in there when I am looking to buys used parts or hit one of the sticky threads for DIY stuff. Other than that, the car lounge sometime has some good banter in it. One thing I have noticed is that prices on some the parts is really inflated IMO. But they created their own little market, making old ATS wheels worth silly $$.

Wasn’t it the Mk4 forum that had a thread on changing oil by running the car without the oil cap on for a while, or something similarly rediculous? I tried selling stuff on there and it was nightmare. Out of 10 people who agree to buy your part, maybe 1 will actually send money. Thats why I still have a garage full of VW parts.

the mk 4 forum is the most ridiculous forum on the internet. there was a thread where a guy had a pretty solid performing mk 4. he had tires that fit on his car and EVERYONE made fun of him. he was flamed so bad because his tires were not stretched.
