Still held up?
i’m planning on going tonight, but more than likely won’t be ready for a good race. i need to get the car dialed in first with the new crap that’s in it, and i’ll only be on the wastegate/pump gas until that is accomplished.
see you there sweet tits!
what time are you guys leaving? im planning on departing at 5pm from our place… if you guys can be here by then, lets cruise up together
bah, im waiting on a new rear and and a new trans, and possibly some taller slicks. i too should prolly race on wastegate untill i get my car sorted out.
solid first time out bill! let me know if you want me to post the videos
in for vids
Thanks man, and thanks for the help at thr line! Defenitely a lot of tweaking needs to be done but I didn’t expect much. If you want to post the 9.7 and race vs Ken that’d be cool, Id like to see how it’s leaving
no prob man anytime, let me know when youre going ill help ya out anytime!
im just waiting for your 9.7 pass to finish processing, ill upload the race vs ken next
bill vs ken:
bills 9.7 pass:
Nice runs
So Ken killed his clutch?
Yep, absolutely murdered it. I barely got the car home.
I should be picking up 33-35 MPH on the back half. I was only getting 18-20 MPH gain if the car would let me into gear.
The 4th pass was ugly, looks like 4th of July under the car
yea, here is his last pass. he was shooting sparks out from his tranny LOL
wow, I didn’t know bladz car was that fast. Very cool to see more 6speed guys out there. Is that on Drs?
I believe he has 17" mickeys. Once he has his new clutch and some seat time I’m pretty excited to see what it does
It should be a lot faster. With a new clutch to hold the power, the car should easily do mid 10s with me driving it. There is plenty of power in the car to click off a low 10/high 9 with a great driver. Comparable full weight setups at my power level typically do 10.1X’s - 10.3X’s pretty easily @ 135+.
On my first pass, I missed 3rd and 4th gear, and ran a 11.3 @ 118 LOL. If I would have hit those 2, it would have been an easy 10 while my clutch was still holding. After the first pass it was waaaaaaay downhill :(.
Yep, this was on 17" mickey DRs. me too bud! It was great seeing your car run. Can’t wait to see what she does when the suspension is fully dialed in.
Bladez, we should line them up, if you should go mid-10’s, we would be a good race.
Bill, a bit slower than last year, less boost now?
he’s on his gate at the moment.
So I assume last year it was more than the gate? What changed, it’s the same setup, right?
New rear end with a spool and less aggressive gearing and it’s proprietary slip joint tq arm, more aggressive anti-roll bar, slightly lower stance in the rear, and a couple other items. Needless to say, it needs to be setup, and I didn’t really even know where to start. Everybodys car likes different configurations with these same parts. I think I took a couple steps in the right direction the other night, now I need to adjust from there and see what happens. I also really never found a sweet spot with this converter since I got it; it’s a bit less forgiving. I’ll get there, just need a little more availabilty to get to the track and try things out.
And yes, I’m on the wastegate now. It would be kind of pointless to pay for the good gas and put that much extra stress on the car when it’s not nearly setup. Once I get it cutting consistant 1.3’s or lower and running 9.3-9.4, I’ll turn it up. Again, it’s a matter of seat time and ability to get to the track. Since in the industry I’m in, EVERY damn trade show and 80% of the purchasing happens in the spring/summer/fall, it puts a damper on my play time
