3 weeks, who wants some

you know what they say about all work and no play.:frowning: your too young to be working so much. I used to work every ounce of overtime when avail but now i just make less money and enjoy family/cars/life. or atleast i try to. I need to getr my car out and just make some passes on waste gate as well.

You should go E85 this year Bill. It’s SO MUCH cheaper than race gas, and it’s so good.

Its only cheaper if your current fuel system supports the extra fuel needed.

Just saw you cruising down transit looks good

Thanks, I was actually at a customer’s car show up in newfane shaking hands  it’s my neverending work story. I don’t really have a choice on the work bit if i want to run the place in the future. I work the office ~8-4:30 every day, then hit the road selling at night. Can’t sell from the telephone and email.

E85 would certainly be cool, but I’m already prematurely maxed out on my 80# injectors. I’m going to ride out what I have until it pops, then decide what I want to do next depending on my situation at the time

Up the fuel pressure  80 psi base should do nicely :snky:

haha… i was hinting that way (not quite that much) when i was at cartek. he didn’t wan any of that, and didnt want to go past 90% DC. Unfortunately we didn’t get to turn up the boost at all, but at least i know it’s safe so i wasn’t all that bummed. im at a 58-60 base, which is the same as factory. i should still be able to get into the 8’s pretty good, but i doubt 8.5. as long as it makes it through 2010 ill be happy, then maybe i’ll get rid of it for something else

^ why must you always buzzkill

Because most EFI fuel pumps don’t flow for shit at high PSI. 80 psi base plus 10 psi of boost would be 90 psi of fuel pressure. At that pressure flow rate would suffer

thats some good info. I don’t think he know anything about fuel systems for boost

We I guess he doesn’t if he is suggesting 80 psi base fuel pressure. Maybe you should share some of your vast knowledge with your life partner

turbo ls1. hows the car runnin ?

teaser vid…
shuttin the giggle gas off at the 1000’

I dont know if your running meth injection but it can help some with the duty cycle. You might even consider a dual nozzle setup.

So when is good for you? As long as I can keep mine together, I am up for running after the shootout (mid august). I am sure your car will beat mine but it will be fun.

hey bill…
any news on the car ?

I guess I’m used to pumps that can handle that pressure!

So how many weeks has it been really? I can update the title of this thread +1 each week if it will motivate you Bill

I have a huge lack of motivation/time with this car. Went to the track last weekend for the 2nd time, and found out my 2 step was the cause of my car randomly shutting off. After I ripped it out, problem solved, but my “launchability” went out the window with it. So I need to get that situated. I think I made a step in the right direction with the suspension at least. Story hasn’t changed though, still need to get the car setup, then I’ll turn it up. I really wish I could go to Lancaster tues nights to set it up, but I can’t.

I truly want to ditch the car for a nice vette or supra thats a nice cruiser. I just feel bad about all the time / $ / effort put into the car

You can always run low boost and have a nice cruiser.Or put a smaller turbo on it.Its not always about being the fastest, its about having fun with what you have. You know if you ever wanted to you could turn the wick up later.

Its been on the wastegate the whole year, never touched the boost controller The turbo and boost have nothing to do with my reasoning. I could take the turbo off and it wouldn’t change a thing.

Being te fastest isn’t something I think about. I’ve been bouncing around in that category for a couple years now, and quite honestly, been there done that. Whatever I end up doing, I’ll so what makes me happy. I don’t mean this in a dick way, but I’m not concerned with what nyspeed thinks. In fact, why am I on here?!
