hey guys i just the z32 o2 sensor for my redtop to fit into the megan extension…there are 3 wires coming from the sensor…2 black and 1 blue. The stock wires are red white and black. now i dont know which wires hook to where…in the instructions it says the blue wire is ecu signal and the 2 black are heater wires. now i think the white wire on the stock wiring is the ecu signal? so i hook up the blue wire to the white.
but what about the 2 black wires…i dont know which one has to hook up to the red and black wire coming from the stock wiring…thanks i hope someone can help me
i have been told it plugs right in. my car is running fine like this
If you get an oem one it plugs right in, a 3rd party replacement you have to wire in.
mine is an ntk sensor. signal is in the middle. sound right?
ya i didnt get the stock o2…so i guess i have to splice the blue wire into the black wire?(center wire)
ok well the o2 sensor is now wired in correctly…the car also seems to have more power in the top end…but the car is still running rich…i can tell from the backfiring. i also took a reading from the center wire(ecu signal) and i got 0.80V(i read somewhere that 0.1V is lean and 0.9V is rich). i also read somewhere that the 300zx o2 sensors make the sr run rich and this is obviously true from the reading and backfiring? its not running as rich as before(with no o2 sensor) because the car seems to have more power now but i think the car still isnt running to its potential…do u guys think i should look into getting a stock o2 sensor to lean it out a bit?
