So when I purchased my car there was a pair of front 300zx calipers in the trunk without hardware. They look like they are in great shape, powdercoated and piston seals look good. I was just wondering if anybody could help me out on what I need to buy for them? Or how many of every piece I need… I’ve never really rebuilt my calipers before so excuse my ignorance lol
In terms of parts:

Now you don’t really need the brake pad shims (41080K in the diagram) but they are supposed to reduce noise. Everything else you need is there.
N here’s a rebuild tutorial, really simple to follow (it goes deeper in terms of replacing your seals n whatnot but it has everything else you need to know):

Hope it helps…
That looks like it’s all I need to know. Thank you very much!
dont split them, you will have issues.
As long as you aren’t reusing the 20 year old seals you’ll be fine to split them. I’ve done a number of sets without issue.
