330ohm 10watt resistor

Looking for one around the area I can pickup. There has to be some place around here.

Check Radio Shack.

10 watts!? good luck, that’s huge. If you can find larger 1 watt resistors you can put them in parallel and that will bump your wattage, but you’ll have to do some math to figure out. It’s the product/sum. The wattage will bump up per resistor you add in parallel. Meaning let’s say you put two 10 ohm 1/4 resistors in parallel. You would end up with a resistance of 5 ohms (10*10 = 100; 10+10 = 20; 100/20 = 5) and your wattage would then be 1/2 watt. <—now take this info and make it happen. Don’t be lazy.

here’s a calculator I found real quick to help you: http://www.1728.com/resistrs.htm

naw it was the first place I’ve tryed they can’t even order them. I found a place on dick rd.

what was the place on dick road for future reference I always need quirky shit like this and always just end up mail-ordering because I’m too lazy to look for local places.

JL or JD audio between walden and george urban. Unfortunatly he had the wrong wattage but it had the resistance I needed

Good to know. Thanks for the info I new that running the circuit parallel instead of series it would bump it up but I do not want to complicate things if I have issues in the future. Id rather just buy the 3 dollar part. They are online but I’m impatient.
