The Proxes RA1 has the same construction & tread compound as the Nitto NT555R Extreme Drag Radial.

They’re a great road racing tire, and I know their sidewalls are stiff.
IIRC don’t Nitto radials suck? lol Where did you quote that from? Can’t find anything on Toyo’s site.
If they work for some people, great. I just don’t recommend running such a wide tire w/ a stiff sidewall on such a narrow wheel.
Also to note, Toyo doesn’t make those tires in a 335 anymore, widest is 275.
For Toyo’s R888 tire (very similar to RA1), the minimum width wheel for a 335 should be 11", and even then you’re not using the tire to it’s potential with that size wheel.
Also read that its the same exact tire as the 555R-II right down to the side wall stiffness and the only difference is the RA1 has 8/32nds tread depth and the 555R-II is shaved to 5/32nds for the track.
for the money of them, I dont give two shits if I dont “use the whole tire”. They are cheaper then buying tires half the size at that price. I asked a simple question. nittos hook on the street well on a car that has a workin suspension under it . , they dont bite as hard as the mickeys but the mickeys are softer and dont last nearly as long so ya gotta give up suttin somewheres
nittos are a fucking BADASS tire. I really miss mine, when it comes time to get tires for my pile of shit dodge im gonna get Nitto DRs for it.
