370Z/C6/_______ thread, help me.

That’s ok I’ve paid twice as much on income tax last year then I’ve spent on cars in the past three years.

I really don’t understand people’s obsession with new cars, especially new cars that don’t preform as well as older ones. I really enjoy certain cars and would much rather take a well cared for older car then a brand new one.

Examples:
Camaro: New $40K or buy a 69’ Pro-touring resto.
Daily: New small car or E36 M3 is such a classic good looking car.
Trucks: The 2003 silverado 5.3L 4L80E gets the same MPG as the new one with a 6 speed and DOD. I also love the “cat eye” style trucks.
Tow Rig: Ford’s 7.3L diesel…awesome.

The only new cars I can honestly say I like and would consider buying is the new mustang specifically the GT350 or the Laguna Seca and the C63 AMG.

Want a Z06 with a Targa? Get the Grand Sport.

only problem is the LS7 is missing

Reliability and interior comfort have come a long way in the last 5-10 years, especially on the domestic side.

How many GT500s have you seen since '07? I have come across only a handful in the past few years. With that said, I doubt the OP is into the styling based on the thread title.

I would rock a GT500, but I think for the $$$$ I’d rather rock a C6 Z06. I think I’m going to hold off until next year and grab a Z06. There’s something about the 370Z’s that I like so much though. :frowning:

I don’t want something modded to have 1100 hp. I want something stock that runs 13’s or faster and has a warranty. Sprayed C5 vettes just ain’t my thang.

SL55 AMG… find examples in the 30-35 range all over now.

^^^

UGH YES^^^
And you can have a warranty

That’s really only how much they cost?

sl55 amg/ thread. you can find them for that price range hendel. i was looking at them i just didnt want an 03-04 with like 50k miles but with your price range beck you could snag a super nice one. i say do it

yup… and it will bump beck’s $70k image to $150k+

It’ll be used, so it’ll probably bump it down. :frowning:

I’ll definitely look into them though, they look sharp. We had an 03 years ago that was okay, it wasn’t an AMG though.

I think about the c6 z06 alot. Dollar for perfomance it wins. I am just not sure if I can see myself in one… and now with our daughter/work & etc… I will never have time to drive it. So whats the point of it then. I will wait till later in life for one, like the rest of the corvette owners.

I know the grand sports don’t have a ls7 but the ls3 is a very good engine. Toss bolt ons and a cam for more fun. You want a 13 second car? I think you should go 12s or better. The new v6 mustang runs 13.7s and my wife’s 4 door 4x4 gmc runs 13.9s lol.

I will deff agree on the newer cars having a nicer interior. The new m3 is so nice… I’d love to grab one of them before they go turbo, the high reving na v8 is so lovely! LoL

I keep trying to convince my wife to get a mb vert but she thinks they are ugly! Fml.

No spray now you’ve really taken the fun out of it! What about a cts-v or xlr-v? Not super fast but nice.

Im going to have to buy one for next summer lol

While that’s true, an SRT-10 for 35K has about a 95% chance of having some kind of “epic story” attached to it, or you will find out soon after that someone tried to mow some lawns with it. “Safe bet” cars start in the 42.5K range.

I just finished rebuilding someones “deal of a lifetime Viper” He now has 57K into a 2001 w/30K miles. But he only paid 36K, it was a STEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAL!

Or not.

2007 audi S6 V10 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/07-AUDI-S6-435-HP-V10-QUATTRO-5-1-SEC-60-MPH-/370533819292?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item564589639c

2003 audi RS6 you can find modded ones making over 500hp for mid twenties. 450hp twin turbo V8 is hard to argue with.

porsche 911 so far is the best driving car i have ever been in. Price has come so far down on them a non turbo one would be a killer buy

Fiat 500?

Maybe even get the Fiat 126.
