If there are any spots left I’m in. I can drive cash to you today. I also have a friend with a GTO that would like a spot. He can pay today too.
That’s me! See ya there!

yea im def not, and i feel like a loser bc i typically know what im talking about. but hey, one has to start somewhere…

last summer i went to the glen and got to ride shot gun in an older porsche 911 and it was amazing, idk how fast we were going but we were lapping everyone. i just loved that feeling of taking a corner at speed.

and before i sell the 240 i want to actually use it.

::i plan on going to the scca event in rochester sunday too::

riding != driving

get some autox time under your belt. this dunnville event is NOT the best “first motorsports” event due to the loose regs and the other drivers.

well i want to do some actual course driving asap. like with elevation changes and non-flat corners.

No elevation changes and all the corners are flat.

That takes time and patience and careful practice.

Saying you want to be a “non-noob asap” is an oxymoron…

You should find a track day that offers instruction, best way to learn.
Or if you have deep pockets, attend a driving school.

Agreed. Your first motor-sports event should probably be solo, and at lower speeds. You have a few weeks to prepare!

are the laps speed limited to 55mph like at the glen, i would not want to pay any amount to be told how fast i can or can not go.
What the hell kind of “track event” tells you that you can not go above 55mph:gotme::gotme:

They’re paced parade laps, like on opening day @ the Glen.

IMO You are better off going to a couple auto-x first anyways. There have been a few people going to the Dunnville events and you can watch them at the end of the day and still see that they are way off the line, taking it one coner at a time and still don’t know the real capabilities of the car (although you shouldn’t be driving 10/10ths in a lapping environment).

Gotcha. Hardly what I would call a track event.

regardless, i want to get out on a real track this season… when/where is the next track event?
