age old debate. if your building your own frame, and you have a choice of either setup./ what do u take and why?
ladder bars seem easier and more economical, but maybe takes alot of abuse on the street???. 4 link seems to give me more adjustment. but how much do i need? i guess neevr enough
4links are pimp, stangs run them, regals run them, old intermideate chassis’s run them all with stock suspension can get good times. now improve on that and you got some serious times on your hands
I’m going to surely agree that 4-links won’t let you down, but ladder bars arn’t far behind.
My 68 nova drag car is setup on ladder bars and that thing launches straight every time, sits nice and level and doesn’t wander or abuse your shit going down the track.
I think as long as you are compitant enough to square a rear-end to a chassis, then you can make ladderbars work no problem. boom, done. 4link though, get ready for a major headache trying to get them setup the way you want!
4-link is a better set up. You can have multiable instant center locations (but 90% of them will be useless). Ladder bar you have only 3. I have a 4 link in my car and very rarely do i mess with it. But with either setup you have to watch the conditions of the hiem joints. Most the time they get screwed up with the car in on the trailer. You should always have the chassis tied down in the trailer.
