Well I got a Dodge Intrepid up to about 205km/h on a straight away that was under 1km, and still had pleanty of room to gently stop safely for the stop sign I was rapidly approaching.

And for the record (if I remember correctly), according to the math with gear ratios, a stock 240SX will do about 170mph (279km/h). That’s not taking into account wind resistance, friction loss, etc, etc, etc. There’s a thread about it on SON240 somewhere. Either way, you should be able to hit about 250km/h in an SR’d 240 without much difficulty, so I should hope a Skyline can hit 300 with reasonable ease. You’d be suprised how short the distance you need to get up there really is. Drag doesn’t become a SERIOUS factor until over 300km/h, because physics start getting wonky around there…
