44mm wastegates...

People keep asking me why I don’t upgrade to a 44mm wastegate…

It’s annoying, because putting a larger wastegate in only decreases resolution, and is only needed if you’re looking to run LESS boost. The only reason to run a 44 or 50mm WG is if you’re getting boost creep up.

I’m just sick of people thinking that 44mm WG are fucking SIQQQQQQQQQQQQQ and u gotta have it!!!

In conclusion: 44mm wastegates are for pussies and ricers.

didn’t you know, bigger is always better!

ha, nice font edit.

I wonder what size my wg is.

44mm is the “BALLER ASS VBAND ONE”

newman, quit being a pussy and MAN UP to the larger size

edit: also, eat a fucking steak damnit

Whats standard size? 38?

edit: boardjnk4, let him do his thing, that leaves more steaks for us!

yes

LOL. Wouldn’t they realize because you are putting an rb into an e30 and are doing a pretty damn good job that you MIGHT know what the fuck you are doing when it comes to cars.

Not true at all. Everyone on the internet is a fucking critic.

“Oh you’re doing this wrong!”

“Why didn’t you do it this way?”

“I would have done it this way”

When the most they’ve ever done is put coilovers on their siq whip…

wg sizing is dependant on alot of factors including the size of the turbo, exhaust housing, the lowest boost pressure you want to run, the manifold used, wastegate placement, along with many other factors

obviously, valid argument…

but:

i defense to this, easier to eliminate shitty leaks

not anymore, tial has 38mm with vbands now…

Everyone is a critic, and the internet instantly makes them know everything…

Disagree.

If a vband leaks it’s gotta be machined. If a flange leaks, it just needs a gasket.

Criticism is more like “Hey maybe you should try this color/parts combo I think it works better.” This is more I need to find some way to make myself feel smarter then you. Criticism drives progress, this kind of stuff just annoys people.

less complaining and cooking for women, and moar finishing your build plz.

agree to disagree…

i like the vband because you and muscle it together and it will seal. try to do that on a 38mm and you’ll pull threads. although studs would be sweet if they would work for the app. on the flip side, my WG v-bands are a pain in the nutsack to unthread, so i basically treat that whole section (Pass side header, pipe, WG, and 2nd DP pipe) as one unit.

aispvionwusdfasdf :ohyeah:

I run a tial v44… My car is really gay… I also dont have an issue with it running 33-34psi

My next turbo manifold will have 2 vband 38’s though…

I like the v band setup ALOT better then the bolt set up on the 38’s…

Just man up and get two 44s. :scott:

two 44’s would be the opposite of manning up. manning up would be running straight through to the turbo
