Shouldn’t spark any debate, since the order of operations in math declares “parenthesis before division” (PEMDAS, see what I said earlier). Which means by definition, that things within the parenthesis are dealt with, followed by things connected to them.

The P in pemdas involved the items inside the parenthesis nothing more.
