Finally blew my transmission. It got really loud and started grinding. Now I’ve gotta find a rebuilt or junkyard transmission until next year. Who knows a yard around here with a fox body or two laying around?
If you can’t find one I may be willing to sell mine…
How much?
I’ll send you a pm…
Thought you couldnt get on it?
another weak t5 bites the dust, can’t weight to up grade mine
This would be why…lol
It’s been going for about a month, so I figured I’d drive it until it finally blew. It was fun while it lasted.
ask bdr i wouldnt doubt he has 34287493874928374 of them
Wat.
600ft lbs … that sounds like a mid 9 sec stang … interesting
:word:
specs on car with pics?
anyone with 600 wheel should have more than just a t5, hmmmm.
Which is why I’m upgrading from that blown t-5 to a TKO next year. I don’t want to spend the money now though, I’m trying to buy a house, which is tough with the situation we’re in. Don’t have any of my own pics, only a few from the previous owner. It’s got Edelbrock heads and intake, turbo cam, Garrett T3/t4s, a bunch of other stuff. The tranny was going to be the next upgrade anyways.
Edit: And who knows if it’s actually 600 ft/lbs, this is what the previous owner told me. I’ve yet to have it dyno’d.
Is this a stock bottom end? If so, you are nowhere near that. Sorry
Stick to LSxs.
It’s been done on stock blocks. Often? No. A few dozen combos? Yep.
Then the block splits… Last time i heard, this car was in the 4XX rwhp range :gotme:
EDIT: 420/420 were the numbers i was PM’d
I’m on the thought that the prev. owner was twising the numbers a bit. In the original ad for the car the numbers were 420/420, but when I talked to him six months later to see if he had the car, he mentioned 450/600. If I had to guess, I’d say it’s probably not that high, because it’s still only a 302. Anyways, still haven’t found a cheap T5.
talk to chuck basil about your sig statement.
sorry about the transmission…i know how that goes
Lol. I know autos can run faster and more consistantly blah blah blah…
t56 swap!
Seems to work for GM.
It’s almost the size of the car! lolz
