Really want it to be 8’ bed(no step-sides) 2wd and manual trans. besides that, IDGAF what drivetrain is in it or if it even runs. Plan to swap in a 4.6 mod motor with 5spd and 8.8 rear. Roller is OK. rust is OK as long as frame and glass are good.
want to spend under $1500. Will trade motorcycle(s) or mechanical work if that works too. May even consider trading my pop-up camper but I’d rather keep that around for fun.

A project like this would be fun but no way I’d buy a N.E. vehicle as my starting point. Go south of the rust belt and get something that hasn’t been rotted away for decades by salt.
patch panels are CHEAP as shit for these. entire bed sides are $130 ea. This is why as long as frame and glass are OK I’d rather get into a rusty one cheap and chip away at the resto than to buy a southern solid truck for triple the money and have to haul it home.

decided to contact this tard and see what we can work out. I asked if he would want to keep the horrendous racing buckets and throw the bench seat back in for less money…he responded that he would take $2500 but not a penny less and the seats stay anyway but he’s including the stock bench…
anyone interested in the 390 w/ 4spd manual trans and the rear end from this truck or know someone that would be interested? how about the red racing buckets? I would want to sell those items if I got the truck and it would be sweet to have buyers lined up and know what those are worth before seriously considering purchasing the truck from this shit sipping fritata.
Bumping this up. I’m really really dying to do this build…I found one in Albion where the guy already flipped the rear shackles to drop the rear and did the crown vic front end, and he swapped in a 351c from a 72 Torino…but I don’t give a shit about that driveline and he wants $4k for the truck…
if anyone knows of a 67-72 Ford truck (F-100 OR F-250) with manual trans, 8’ bed, and 2wd for around $1500 or less…let me hear it. Willing to travel for the right truck.
