69 / 02 Camaro, barf bag not required

The other thread got me thinking, “Man, a classic 69 maro sitting on a modern chassis is a great idea. I wonder if someone with design skills greater than a 10 year old has ever tried it.”

Now this is how to do it right.

The style of the original, with the performance, reliability, parts availability and huge aftermarket of the modern Camaro.

Anybody catch the article in C&D this month about the restomod Challengers? Hot car for sure. Basically the same deal, take on vintage ponycar, stiffen the hell out of it, add modern EFI and comp controls, upgrade the suspension and seats, enjoy. All the looks, and all the technology.

I was curious to the status of these bodies, so I contacted Goodmark. here is their reply:

The company that is producing these is called Retro Rides in Spanish Fork, UT. They have run into some production issues, so we feel you should contact them direct at www.retrorides.com.

Isn’t Dynacorn doing a '69 body too?
