69 Camaro resto - It's ALIVE! - no 56k

This project car is def exciting me… I want to fix up a 69 camaro so bad. I have been looking for a half decent car/shell… for about 2 weeks. So if you know of anyone from any forms that has a decent project car… please let me know. Preferably a 69 SS.

pics of said motor?

Sweet. Def keep us updated with progress. Looks like its gonna be a sweet ride when its all set

 Nice car

snky snky. I’ll see what I can show you.

bring ca$h.

I would look for a rust-free 6-cyl, but I don’t think I would go the factory restoration route.

69 Camaros are out there, but can get a good $$$. My car was an original 6 cylinder, so originality isn’t an option.

A decent project 69 Camaro will run you around $4000 - $6000 that will need restoration. But consider the final value after it is done. It would be hard to lose money on this car.

Maybe I’ll sell mine after it is done. Then I’ll buy another one.

exactly why i’m going classic next time. I enjoy spending too much time making shit perfect, might as well have it be worth something.

Cant wait till you get finished with her

Lenny is a great guy, he built my 468, and It is still sitting in his shop… I should go pick that up. Big Block Chevy FTW, going in the 88 Camaro.

I should have some more pics later tonight. I’m waiting on a steering assembly from a 3rd gen Camaro to swap into my Camaro. It’s supposed to swap right in and work like a dream. Gotta have power steering to control the power.

Loss of hp means nothing in the little that it will take.

Plus I’m switching over to a serpentine pulley system instead of a v-belt. Cleaner looking.

Now that my car show is behind me, I have time to dedicate to my house and my Camaro

How can you have a 468 just sitting there? It would be killing me
Lenny has been working hardcore on his truck. He wants to have it out soon. Not as done up as he plans, but at least it will be out.

Remember, he’s not in the Falls anymore. He’s in Tonawanda now.

Yeah I know, he is like 2 min from my house now, lucky me. And I still have a lot of work to do to the Camaro before I can drop the Big Block in there, and don’t have the room for it at my house. Wish I did, I would have it done by now.

If you don’t need it for a while, I’ll borrow it

The Camaro went under the knife tonight. The rear quarter had an unfortunate meeting with a wheel a long time ago and instead of fixing several areas, we decided to get a new rear quarter. I also picked up the outer rear wheel well. I was there at 9pm with the light of the flash on my camera to see this.

if that quarter pannel is the only thing that needs relacing, that car is in amazing shape. was it in buffalo all of its life or did you import it from another state?

It’s got its spots. The lower areas of the car needs some attention, but it’s not that bad. The bodyman was commenting today that after the quarterpanel, it’s all downhill.

The car was bought in Buffalo and spent it’s entire life here. We did some repair work to it when we got it 12 years ago also. But you can buy any piece of sheet metal for a Camaro anyways.

wow

even car craft can’t get bodywork done this quick most of the time
