The color has just enough metallic and a slight pearl. In person it looks AWESOME. The contours of the car do so much more for the color. Can’t wait to see it with the white stripes and in the sunlight
Its looking awesome. i cant believe how nice its coming out considering hes not doing it in a booth…im shocked he doesnt even wear a respirator lol.

edit…just noticed in a few pics of the doors and trunk lid…after the clear…the paint seems blotchy…kinda cloudyish…like there wasnt enough coverage…i hope thats just glare or something and not what it looks like.
You don’t need to use a booth. Just have to make sure you prepare the hell out of the space. He used a respirator for the clear. It wasn’t that bad when he sprayed the color. But the clear is nasty crap. But true, you should wear a mask whenever painting.
But the color is awesome… 
I might actually show the car in some shows next year. Then I can argue if I don’t get an award
Looks great, good investment. You should get it appraised after you put it all together just in case.

I actually have to. It used to be appraised for $14k, but I have more than that tied up in it. Plus for classic insurance they make you get it appraised. Always good in case something happens…

The color is 2003 Corvette Electron Blue Metallic.
As for a price, it’s up there. My painter bought it all, but I’ll have about 1 1/2 gallons of color alone on my car.
Pictures don’t do it justice. It looks plain awesome even under flourescent lights.
ugghhh, i think im gonna go with long beach blue pearl(better known as NSX blue) when the time comes. fuckin TITS man. ur doing rally stripes right? i thought thats usually done before the clear.
Doing GM bright white stripes. Wet sanding the car, laying down the stripes, then clearing it some more. Should have that finished up by Monday.

I thought that’s what it was. That’s probably my favorite GM color, right up there on my list with Onyx Black of course.
Funny thing is that my car is getting a ton of attention at the shop. We have talked to 3 other people that were looking for colors to paint their cars and that is the color that they decided on. Even my painter wants to change his red Camaro to the same blue as mine.
I’ll have a few more pics up shortly, but the stripes were painted tonight and the clear was going on. Looks awesome!
