im about 80% positive the governor went on my transmission so if someone has a old 700r4 laying around lmk asap. can be reached at 931-2147 im trying to swap it out 2moro to see if this fixes the problem want to go racing wednesday
Pull it out and check it.Check the teeth on the gear and make sure it isnt apple cored.And also check to make sure the valve in it isnt hung.Just stand it straight up with the weights at the bottom and then push the weights in.The valve should move up and down.If the valve is just hung spray some brake clean in it and get it moving again.If the gear is apple cored goto a trans shop and get a replacement gear.Also make sure both springs are in it.
took it out today gears half gone, threw in one i got out of a chevy pickup. car shifts but not like it did before. 2moro at work im going to swap the gear from the truck one onto my original governor which i beleive has the spring/weight kit
