$7300 cash back on the new STI?(now w/pics)

Looks like STI crew may get bigger than 335 crew.

This is a REALLY sweet deal.

If the insurance cost wasn’t so high I might try to convince myself to do it, but I just cannot justify another 80 dollars in insurance, and another $100/month.

335 crew is lame

Those prices will be offset by the investment in front bumper, etc?

jk.

hah, funny, ass

dude im sure your stuff is fine now that you have the bad items cleaned up… they are OBVIOUSLY dieing to sell these cars

it initially feels softer and the rear end moves around more than my old one, but it grips, it just feels odd.

overall DD comfort is WAY better which is what I wanted, interior is much nicer, the hatch, obviously more useful.

Looks like they are a bit more responsive to the light mod/reflashes, stage 2 numbers seem to be a bit higher than previous gen, however along with that they’ve had engine problems due to the factory tune and crappier pistons.

I agree with everything comparing the two, except the crappier pistons. I still haven’t seen anything convincing showing that they pistons are different in any way. I think the bad factory tunes had more to do with the motor deaths than anything.

The best way I can describe the difference between the 05-6 to the 08 is that it feels/sounds way more like a BMW than a Honda.

Congrats on the pickup. Sounds like right deal, right time, right place kind of thing.

looking back on i think i could have done even better had i negotiated harder… but likely not too much, maybe 1K more trade-in

I have the same feeling. It was almost too easy.

I still think subaru is spreading some sort of super virus in them… no way they are giving these cars away without a cost.

maybe there is a more bad ass version coming out and they are trying to clear out the STI before its unveiling.

ha… doubt it, just bad economy has its perks for those that can make it through.

2009 sti is already out and it is the same as the 2008

yea my dealer was like i know whats coming in the future, etc.

and i was scared at first, then he said they were going to have the best line-up of any manufacturer in the next 5 years. so idk wtf to think.

heres pics. of mine. modding has already begun(debadged today at lunch and going to be door frame devinyl’d tomorrow at lunch)
