I think that is it. If I remember more, I’ll update it. Now on to the bad shit. As we all know, every car has its problems.
The transmission kind of sucks. My buddy used the car for about a year. During the time he had it, he replaced the timing belt and the factory clutch. The clutch was done at 111k. He didn’t know he had to do the tob release fork, so now third grinds when you downshift or if you shift up quickly at part throttle. WOT, it is fine. So, here is the good part. I have another transmission I bought and had rebuilt. New syncros, shift forks, etc. it has no miles on it, and has a billet 3/4 shift fork and a billet agp shift selector. Also, the current transmission has a pwerks 3rd gear shift extender that can be transfered into the new one. The new one will come with the car, but I have to go back to mobile to pick out up.
The sunroof is broken. Actually, I used to open and close it on the interstate all the time. After a few years of that, I guess the plastic gears in the cheap little motor gave. So, I manually closed it and disconnected the switch. I will replace the sunroof motor before you pick it up.
The back passenger door will not lock or unlock electronically. I have always just locked it manually. I have never looked into it, but I attribute it to a faulty actuator. I may or may not fix it. It doesn’t really bother me.
So, that’s about it. Any valid request for information is understandable, and I will accommodate you as best as I can. I live in Franklinville, NY now. Anyone interested can come check her out in person any weekend. Possibly a weekday, but sometimes I work out of town Monday through Friday. She has never seen a harsh winter, and she never will while I own her. If she doesn’t sell within a month or so, I am going to just build her over the winter. A guy I met at the gym recommended this site, and said I would receive a warm welcome here. 342hp/354tq on 23psi, 401hp/412tq on 29psi and a good bit off 118 octane from the local track mixed in with 1/4 tank of 93. Done on a Dynojet dyno at 90 degrees or so. Sorry, but I don’t have sheets to back it up.
Sorry for the novel. You can text me anytime at (251) 401-0692. My name is Chris. Thanks for looking.
