'87 honda cbr 600 hurricane rebuild (56k f off (if that still exists))

fair enough, I would hope you were smarter than that…I’ll admit though, I was kinda worried

fuck you little man!

fun side fact: when we went to change the chain, we couldn’t find the master link “c” shaped thing that holds the link together because it had fallen off. fortunately, the rest of the master link had seized together through oxidation so it was no longer necessary.

a few updates:

and a little preview of what i’m going for here:

the frame has been cut and the seat will be upholstered properly.

front wheel will be off soon for paint.

<-------------loves sideways pictures!!! Anyways, looking good man!

sweet

fixed.

i didn’t take the pics, just posting up what i have.

i couldn’t sleep so i wandered out to the garage and put the exhaust on. i know the pictures suck, but my camera is dead, i’ll get new batteries tomorrow. all pictures so far have been from either my cell phone or my friend’s iphone. i’ll put up a couple real pictures soon.

this is what i have so far:

alright, i pulled it out of the garage to take a couple shots with an actual camera.

i just set the tank and seat on it to give you an idea of what it will end up looking like. i just took the front wheel off to have the tire removed for painting.

I love that exhaust, so simple but looks mean. Can’t wait to see this when it’s done.

love that last pic above, coming along nicely bro, glad you went with the army green lol

also I only noticed 1 blue and a box of blue…somewhat surprised lol

got the front wheel sandblasted (thanks for the suggestions guys)

primed

it’s been painted and i’m gonna throw that armorall wheel protectant on it.

i know the updates have been slow, but i’ll keep 'em coming.

looks good… although i think it would look better with the frame flat black… it seems too shiny to have a flat green tank sitting on it.

i couldn’t agree more. i know it would look absolutely killer if the frame was black, but i really wanted to avoid removing the engine on this thing.

Wow great work keep it up!

nothing crazy as far as updates, i’ve been on vacation and my shift changed at work so i have a lot less time to work on this thing. i’ll be blowing money on an integrated tail light, head light, and cluster f#ck this week.

front fender (originally taken off the bike when i bought it)

cut and primed…

same paint as the rest of the bike, it’ll look like the tank and wheels when it’s done.

i need to finish this thing soon so i can ride it…

So nice man. Don’t sell. Haha

just finished cutting and recovering the seat:

it looks kinda grey in the pics, but it’s pretty close to black. i’m sure it’ll look better when it’s on the bike.

well, it’s just about done. we wired up the front and rear lights and the new instrument cluster. all we have left to do today is throw in the fluids and see if it starts up. oh, and throw the front fender on.
