Well I bleached and stripped most of the moldy interior tonight. Finally got
some time. Dash and carpet is comming out tomorrow night. The water got in on
the drivers side. My garbage bag was impenetrable.

Finished gutting the interior. The only stuff left is dropping all the under
dash stuff to inspect and clean out. The carpet will come out at the very end.
Next step is to strip the engine bay in prep for painting.

Thats about it. Next step is to clear coat it, then bolt the front suspension
and wheel on and move it to a new garage to finish it over the winter.

why is that motor so covered in oil if it’s only got 4k miles on it :confused

That’s an awesome build. Did you get the shell of ccdsm.net? I know theres a guy out west that awd swapped his colt since you can’t fit much of a tire on the front. Looks like it’s going to be fun though.
the engine bay is clean 
The pics are shit because my hands shake and I don’t have a very good camera. Nothing I can do about it.
I got mine from a guy in Queens. Bought it about three years ago and has prob run six months out of that. It’s been an up and down ride since purchase. Lack of motivation has played alot into it
The motor did not have oil on it. I was painted dark green and I was stripping it off.
This is a factory turbo. That is why I am not going AWD swap it. If i find a base model for free I would grab it and drop my old motor into it. But right now I want to finish this up.

Interesting color choice for the engine bay.
Looks good when no hardware in the way, but I’ll be interested to see how it will flow with the motor installed, and necessary wiring hooked up.

No wire tuck. I will most likely be running DSMlink, so I will retain my factory harness. In the event that anything goes wrong, I want to access the wiring as easily as possible. It’s not going to be a show car. I just wanted it to be diffrent.
It’s going to look wierd with a gold bay and pink and baby blue motor. But thats what I am going for. I’m tired of cookie cutter cars.

This week I will be bolting back on the front suspension so I can roll the car again, and prob bolting in the motor before I bring it to the new garage. That way I don’t have to deal with transporting a motor in the back of a Jeep. I will take pics then so you can see how the color combination is going to look.
