No, Matt bought it in pretty poor shape body wise. He replaced fender hood and bondo’d the quarter himself and resprayed the car. It was not rotted out. This was his 1st attempt at body work and I think it came out pretty nicely all things consitered.
Either way, strong runner, good car minus the cosmetic stuff. Def worth the sellers asking price

Right, but was it bondo-ed due to being hit (very fixable, if done right), or was it bondo’ed due to rust (almost impossible to fix, and likely to continue to blow through, no matter how many times it’s mudded up). I ask bec. I would consider the car…but not if it was rusted…

Well it becomes a body discussion, bec. the body is kind of an important part of the car, and you neglected to mention it was an issue until Jam mentioned it…
Furthermore, you actually said it had new paint from the PO in your first post, which implies it’s good…

Did you paint the wheels? Last time I saw those wheels, they were on a Scirocco, ad they were mint.
the rims are black now so the answer is yes he painted them.

if you hate them so much buy the car and paint them sliver again. everyone on this site always has to put there 2 cents in its a for sale post not a whats wrong and what you think post if he dont want to say whats wrong with the car then it hurts his sale no one elses so leave it alone.

it’s a local forum, and a majority of the people who posted in here know this car already. it’s not really hurting sales. we’re just saying that the wheels were way nicer looking when they weren’t painted. and if anyone were to go look at it, they would def. be upset that someone didn’t tell them about body damage!
