The car has tokico gas shocks and h&r springs
Depends on what you wanna do to the car, as far as suspension, im putting in coilover in mine, there the best and also costly unless u know some one to find them cheap (like me!) also nothing ebay is to ever touch a suspension, worst idea ever
My car handled amazing with the stuff it has now so im not goin to change anything unless it gives me a problem
So you buy anything?
Or got more questions?
i guess what i meant is that all the turbo cars i’ve seen that are built (not stock with a turbo) have some sort of running issue. i guess running relatively low boost is okay for all the seasons, but honestly, sometimes its a crapshoot, unless you are the tuning master and really know what you are doing, and what you are looking for.
Thats why you pay for the tune…unless ofcourse your the “tuning master” :lol
I’ve never experienced that. My car makes over 400AWHP over stock. Say that again: 400 and I have no problems. The car drives completely like stock off boost minus the harder struts. On boost, completely different obviously. I’ve had clutch issues from overpowering it and 2 alternator failures (not mitsu). I tune the car myself. I can rattle off names of friends that make 500-600AWHP without issues except stupid shit from drag racing: blown axles, etc… I am sorry you had such shit experiences with FI. FI > NA.
That’s ridiculous. A retard can tune a piggyback and if you are AEM, get a base map and learn to tune the car yourself. It’s not bad to get a professional tune but if you can’t at least have a decent, safe, and reliable tune w/o help, you are doing something wrong.
Well i know the guy whos doing my car so ill have him show me some stuff
Ive read over the build and maybe I can give some help. A b16 is a very tough engine and is capable of making alot of power on stock sleeves. I wouldn’t use the s300 turbo on a street driven b16, its too large. A 57 trim t3/t04e or a gt2871r would be a good choice for 350whp. If your looking into upgrading the valvetrain/cams, i would look into supertech springs/retainers and either gsr or itr cams.
If you have any questions we would be more than happy to answer your questions or point you in the right direction.
Morgan
Thanx for the advice…is 10k right in the ball park of much it would cost(that includes the cage)
10k sounds about right for a built motor, turbo setup, and cage.
Alright…thanx i appriciate it
Good to see you. 10K is a fair deal given what you get in the end. I wish we had these types of setups for my platform when I started. You guys have it easy. Just throw some $$$ at Synapse with a stockish car and you’re golden. Not bad.
Yeah well there are two sides to each coin. Good luck being at all different with a Honda nowdays.
You know who have it easy nowdays? People that come with two more cylinders and FI stock.
Either way, 91teg, keep us updated, you’re in good hands, especially with Synapse on here, and I Highly recommend going with them for tuning. They have build a half dozen of these setups this year alone, and had multiple 10 second cars come out of their shop, non of which have had any mechanical issues, related to their work. They know what they are doing, but in the end, it’s your call.
No need to be different. I laugh at the DSM/3SI boys that want to be different and fuck it up. Hondas/DSMS/etc…(just bout any platform) now has many ways for success to any goal you may have. No need to reinvent the wheel. Morgan is not a genius nor a miracle worker. He KNOWS what it takes to get X power. He just does it over and over again with various cars and they all seem to have the same outcome. If someone wants it similiar, then pay him or find another car and copy their mods.
Inline is doing the build regardless…I have nothing against synapse, morgan seems like a nice guy. like i said earlier i know the guys at inline and they know exactly what i want. As for the tune ill take it to synapse cause like you said they build nice cars and ofcourse they have the dyno ;D
I think you are crazy not to bring a Honda to Morgan. Who is Inline? That’s not Howard is it? Or is it that place in Rotterdam?
Inline is in Rotterdam. It’s right on Altamont Ave next to the Hansen Law Firm. I have a client right down the street from their shop and noticed it last week.
inline installed a downpipe and a greddy bov on a friends evo.
-didn’t order the flange for the bov so they decided to make one themselves. welds look like a one armed, retarded, 6 year old did it.
-installed bov backwards. Caused a whole load of issues. (owner just got the evo so he didn’t notice)
-exhaust leak from downpipe. CEL issues.
Right. I think my GT42R 3000GT buddy sent them some welding work. He said it was ok but pricey. Still not seeing why anyone would not use Morgan for a Honda?
Ouch…
