Well here it is. Owned it for 7 years, it’s paid its dues and now it’s time to move on. It is what it is, a parts car or a missile or a beater if you’re brave. It’s rusty, it’s shitty, but it’s been reliable as f**k, and a blast to beat on.
1992 Nissan 240sx hatch, 278,000km, 5 speed, KA still running strong albeit a bit rich. The frames been patched acouple times, the floors have been patched acouple times, and there’s still holes. The body may look decent from 20 ft, but don’t let it trick you, you couldn’t find a panel that isn’t rusted or dented in some way.
The Good:
OEM FOHA Aero side skirts and rear lip in great condition. Paint on them is rough though.
ACT HDSS Clutch and pressure plate with about 35,000km on it
Bings short shifter
Aluminum subframe collars
Stainless steel clutch line
Q45 front Calipers with Brembo blank rotors and hawk HPS pads with around 4000 km on them
Rear calipers recently rebuilt, cross drilled and slotted rotors
New remanned starter with around 4000km on it
Slave cylinder was replaced about 10,000 km ago.
Sending unit was replaced with a rustless U.S. unit acouple years ago.
Injen cold air intake
17x7.5 +38 BBS RSII replica wheels (made in Italy) with 235/45/17 all around
Yakima roof racks with SST towers and clips
Yakima Bike carriers for the roof rack
Unknown brand JDM coilovers (See also “The Bad”)
Relatively new cat (2 years old)
Three 12” Subwoofers in Box that takes up the whole rear seat
Sony Head unit
USDM bumper grills
Sweet custom made front strut tower bar
Custom trailer hitch with trailer wiring (Might keep this)
Reliable!
The Bad:
Rust – Body (rockers, windshield, fenders, rear ¼’s, doors, hatch etc…)
Rust - Frame
Rust – Everywhere else
Needs a battery
Front coilovers are almost certainly blown, it rides like shit probably also due in part of the super beefy springs and ton of preload
Leaks a very small amount of fuel at rear
Paint is generally shitty
Interior is pretty beat up. Missing/broken panels and stuff
Windshield leaks water. Pretty bad during a heavy rainfall
Does not come with Budweiser shift knob
Let me just say this once more. Do NOT expect a nice daily driven vehicle, do NOT expect something that will pass a safety without a ton of work, do NOT expect anything other than a rough, rusted, beat ass S13.
Some glamour pics taken yesterday:
