I don’t and it wouldn’t have been, which is why I am not using it and do not have it.
People HAVE used them and the results are mediocre.
The last thing I want is cooling issues.
I bought a radiator from summit racing. it was under 200 bucks. It is massive. Just a thought. I am sure they have any setup you could possibly need to fit in there.
so does this make 3 or 4 lsx mazdas in the area?
Me-You-Cougarspeed-?
Going to take some decent photos soon.
Taking my driveshaft to fleetpride (about 2 inches too short)
Maybe it’ll start this weekend.
Wiring is done. Just not correctly.
I didn’t route the trigger wire for my fuel pump correctly, just realized that.
Going to try and correct that first thing and then figure out why I’m not getting spark.
But hey. At least it cranks.
One step closer
Runs.
Regrounded the fuel pump relay.
Fixed the PCM power wire (damn you orange wire)
Nothing else to see here…move along.

Buffalo, NY, United States 08/19/2011 6:00 P.M. Train derailment.
This is the current state of some of my parts.
Looks like I won’t have this ready for the 28th…hahah
WTF?!?
Can’t get it to embed^
But a thanks to PaulB for lending a hand and Drew for being Tech support without the Indian accent.
Rats nest.
I like that leaf.
What a god damn mess.
Cool stuff man.
Goddamn train derailments will fuck a project up every time.
Train derailment?
WTF? I don’t know what to think about that
Haha how did i miss this one! Outstanding build, man, this thing is gonna rumble. What’s the estimated final weight?
Miata guys claim anything from 2200 - 2450.
My guess is I will be closer to 2400 after I add sound deadening.
Made some more progress.
Slave cylinder is bled, seems to engage nicely. Powerbleeder is the best investment I have made.
Radiator is roughed in. It is suppose to use the same mounts as stock but I don’t have the mounting bracket that wraps around the radiator.
Also - Bossfrog subframe places the motor a ~1/2 inch closer to radiator support and I’m using an LS1 waterpump which has a bigger nose on it.
The radiator/fan is a snug fit using the Flyin’ Miata subframe and LS2 waterpump (smaller nose).
So relocation was needed.
My wheels finally made it back on a train and into my hands. (15x9 looks great)
Now if I could only get my exhaust to get shipped I’d be able to bleed my coolant system.
LS1 open headers = Nasty loud.
I might put this thing on the ground tonight and get it out of Butch’s garage. (going to tow it - open headers = tickets)
I’ll work on a few more getting more photos.
This won’t be ready for the meet sunday
<3333 Great progress. I want to see it this week
