The first question you have to answer is do you want performance results or just a fun car?

If you want performance results then don’t bother N/A modding a VR6. The heads just don’t flow that well. Intake, cam, chip, and exhaust will run you at least $1200 and you’ll have a whopping 15-20 whp gain to show for it. :rollseyes: Anything beyond 200whp is going to require FI or extensive and expensive modifications such as stroker kits. The problem is that VR’s are the anti-Honda. Their head just doesn’t flow well.

If you really are willing to go turbo, there’s a decent basic kit out there for $3k. A guy on here named Jaegermeister posted it a while ago. He probably knows more about this motor than anyone else in WNY, as evidenced by his gorgeous turbo Corrado. Lemme see if I can find the link…
