Does anyone know where the high and low pressure valves are for the A/C lines on the S13?
I’m going by the s14 set-up but I would be very surprised if it is different. There will be a fat - mostly aluminium tube that runs from the firewall to the AC compressor on the driver’s side. This is the low pressure line (low pressure means gas-phase = high volume = big pipe). There should be a nipple on the pipe, possibly with a plastic cap. Take off the plastic cap. Inside is the valve. It works similar to a valve stem on a tire (can even used the same tool).
The high-pressure valve is on a skinny aluminum pipe that runs from the firewall to a small cylindrical tank with a electical connector (triple pressure switch), on top.
Now I’m going to suggest that you download the FSM. Just search this site for “FSM” and download. It is invaluable and will cut down on the questions. Cool?
high pressure valve is the one with the red cap in front of the car, the other one is with the blue cap (suction valve) located right beside the the exahust manifold and behind the dip stick.
coolness, thanks guys
greybrother, I forgot that I had the FSM and looked it up…
