It’s not a transverse mounted motor anyway. It’s using a VW Bus tranny which uses a front to back mounted motor… which makes their choice of a HonDuh V6 a little interesting. Usually when you see Honda/Acura sand cars they run the tranny from them as well and retain the transverse mounting. The same is true of the Caddy Northstar you mentioned. Since it’s setup for a front to back motor I’d like to see a Gen. III in there… although it’s almost certain the torque would frag the Bus tranny (maybe why they went w/ the V6 in the first place). I’m surprised I don’t see more 4G63 sand cars using a FWD DSM tranny.
