A.M.E.C. High Speed Autocross 2011 season schedule

A.M.E.C. will be holding a Speedway Autocross series in 2011 on the pavement of Albany Saratoga Speedway’s recently repaved 4/10ths mile oval. This is not your usual parking lot deal with tight gates and twisty corners. This is for people who like to open it up and carry some speed through the pylon gates as they traverse the new asphalt in Malta.

http://www.icerace.com/images/dpd-logo.pngAMEC is proud to have DeNooyer Performance as our 2010 AMEC Albany Saratoga Speedway Autocross sponsor.

Autocross #1 is Saturday June 11th.
Autocross #2 is Saturday July 9th with a rain date of Sunday July 10th.
Autocross #3 is Saturday September 17th with a rain date of Sunday September 18th.
Autocross #4 is Sunday October 2nd.

I wish this was starting up sooner! Hopefully I’ll make it out this year.

It’s great for a nice looong controlled power slide!.. I’d like to burn off my current set of tires doing something like this. I need to replace them this month. Wish I had another set of 19"s.

This is autocross, not drifting. You’ll be asked to stop for the remainder of your runs.

At least that’s how it was at the first one when an ae86 was drifting the course.

This sounds like fun. Might have to see what my green LS1 plow truck can do!

Sounds like I could have some fun with E38 here, thx for info

I happen to be the Chief Technical Inspector for AMEC. So if you have any questions PM me.

This is a ton of fun for the dollar! If you havent tried it you should.

I think AMEC should plan a Drift Event too!!

I was wondering about harnesses. The date is up on mine and I wasn’t sure if I could still do the autoX with it.

I would prefer updated belts. But I do not believe there is a rule on dated harnesses…You can run your street three point so your old harrnesses have to be that good right? lol

DC

True.

Stock belt is gone though lol.
