A small write up on the Ricer

Got some more stuff in!

Dave Buschur hooked us up with their beautiful front mount once again - same exact style as we ran last season… Last year there were a few things that needed changing, and this piece was not one of them. Thanks again Dave!

And if you look in the background, under that short block (without holes ;)) there’s a completely refreshed transmission from Jon at TRE. Anyone who has seen the videos knows that thing took such a beating last year and withstood all that abuse… And Jon has always taken great care of us! Two thumbs up for TRE!

And we also had AMS’s carbon fiber roof come in.

We are just getting ready for the install this week and if it was anyone but Cory cutting her up… I’d be nervous! But no fears, the Ricer will be unscathed and a whole lot lighter! When everything is said and done, I’ll try and get everything that came out and get an exact number, but I’m going to guess about 40-50 pounds will be shaved off. I’ll be sure to get pictures of the ‘cutting’ as long as I’m here for it!

A few more “big” orders are going to be trickling in this month as well and I’ll post up the pictures as they show up. No motor just yet, but Emery has been spending a lot of time on the phone with Mr. Buschur lately…

wow. the beginning of the thread made me cry inside.

nice to see the progress, i’ll be keeping up with this thread. good luck!

This is going to be a fun year

parachute and full cage i imagine to run those times right?

Shawna, I’ve always loved that CF lip you guys have. Is that the Buschur one?

Yes.

We just did our seibon buy in and have one on its way for stock…

Those brakes are awesome

Nice. Seibon parts are great quality. They’re sponsoring our 240 build and we’re getting a hood and hatch from them.

 awesome!

Windows are out!

That roof is just about ready to be pulled!

Emery will have a Sparco seat here this week for test fitting and we just weighed the oem seat belts: 10 pounds of crap gone. Also the front windshield wipers are out… We’ll keep them around, but I don’t think we’ll need them. Shouldn’t be driving in the rain on 4 slicks anyhow :spank:

You guys don’t fuck around.
Who is doing the cage?

are you guys changing out the glass for a lighter material?

And if you do, that is why god invented RainX

You two have to much time and $$$ just playing awsome car and great work as always:tup:

Thanks to Mike from AWD Motorsports for this beauty of a driveshaft.

That’s another 15 pounds gone.

:tspry:

Seibon’s Dry Carbon Trunk just arrived…

6 lbs?

I like the “dry” finish especially on this car… this color blue is so flashy and pretty, it’s hard to make it look bad-ass… I think this rear end along with a parachute ought to do the trick!

We’ll have one more Seibon piece showing up hopefully before the weekend…

We also have a Seibon carbon lip in stock if Khary doesn’t buy it tomorrow!

And the Sparco seat showed up today… after the brackets and all that stuff, we saved only 7 pounds each seat over the stock leather Recaros… BUT the Sparco’s have what we’ll need for track certification. So it all works out in the end.

I’ll get a picture of it installed once they are done. We all like the seat, so we’ll order the other one soon and start getting the interior back together.

gonna be out this year?

that’s good stuff, I hope the next motor holds up for the next 46k
