academic books are so funny

well i was skimming through one of my unix books a second ago at work and noticed something rather funny. I came to a section where they define hacking and cracking and the differences between them. I will list a few funny quotes from the book on this topic.

“Thus, the term ‘hacker’ is often used in a positive sense, to describe someone who is capable of massive amounts of nerd-like effort.”

“Hackers are socially useful people, though rarely cool.”

“For some reason – perhaps a genetic deficiency – virtually all crackers are male.”

“A cracker is someone you would not want your sister to marry.”

Such a quality book i must say haha.

thats awsome, i love being a nerd, but i am DEF, “cool”.
