Theres the console. Almost looks like the panel(#10) that holds the boot just clips into the console. Probably want to check around first though.
holy hell red lol
i tried doing this > ( Sounds like the boot clips to the collar, have to twist the boot 90* and down to access the nut.) as suggested and it didnt work and i think i ripped the leather boot somehow or it was already ripped not sure which, tried twisting the shit out of the knob and that didnt happen either, i think my best bet is to come out to colby and do it with you lmao
i can vouch for this lol
Are you guys sure the clip on top where it connects to the knob doesn’t pull straight down?
My RSX was like that, just hold the ring below the knob and pull it straight down the shaft (sounds so dirty) and it might unclip. If you used a different knob on the RSX Honda made a shift boot adapter that clipped in that ring on the boot so it wouldn’t look odd but the shift knob and hold the shift boot up close to the aftermarket knob.

awesome thanks, hope i didn’t russel your jimmy too much with my inquiries
Usually you have to pay for that sort of thing. He should be happy. Good info dropped.
So… did your knob get off yet?
Great success ! I got it off now that i figured out how to do it and good news my boot wont sag !! I just need to order the knob
Order the ics weighted knob in gunmetal
Oh werd, you likes the heavy ones!
Lol and now for the first time ever I’m considering light tint on the windows
Any suggestions on how light or dark I’m not really sure how the percentages work and if they calculate how much light goes through or how little
35% is what i had on the accord and it was still see thru and i never really got hasseld for it. i have 20% on the tdi and i love it. nobody is going to see in it unless the really try.
I have 50% on the fronts of the Civic, 5% rear. Not sure what the TL has, previous owner did it, and its garbage, prob 50-60%. I was going to do 35% on the TL whenever I did get it done again. Fronts must match the rear on a sedan, or youre a cholo. Just sayin/
I don’t want anyone to see my new fancy shift knob lol
I’m thinking maybe 35% or 50%, I don’t want to get harassed but I like the idea of some privacy, ideally the amount I would go for is when you look into a car next to you a stop light and all you can really see is the silouet of the person in it but can’t really make out anything elese.
I also heard running tint helps longevity of your interior and it’s condition but I don’t really know how much of that is true
Red not to worry I won’t live a cholo lifestyle and do different tint front a rear it will be the same all around
The tint does help protect the interior, especially with a black interior, mainly from fading from UV rays. Or in the case of the famous 3g TL, prevent the dash from cracking, I always use a sunvisor in my cars too. 35% will look good on a car with a black interior, makes it appear darker that it really is, as opposed to tan. Oh and for reference the percentages are how much light is allowed in.
Shift knob is on but feels no different in weight then my stock one lol oh well this one looks a bit different, but I used the stock lock nut with the boot so it dosent sag
No boot sag FTW!
