i need a tripod bad lol

Ugh. Every time I look in this thread it makes me think more and more of getting a new 6spd TSX for a DD.

Must. resist.

Love it.

Also get a tripod here http://www.bhphotovideo.com/ Great service, fast shipping.

Looks good man! Maybe we can fill the car with people and drive a few miles to the market like we did in the mini

k20- this might be up for sale sooner then you think …

red - yeah ill look into buying one, i dont really shoot too much and especially in low light situations so i dont know if it will be worth it and i have to look into buying that shift knob that you posted up in the other thread, not sure how it would look with my silver trim since it isnt brushed aluminum ( the trim isnt )

dan - haha i remember us ruining that wedding in toga when we went on our little excursion and we scraped the whole way

Damn this car is sharp…

Tripod from B&H you can get a decent one for like $15, Sunpak 2000ut or something is the one I got. Also you going to CRC bbq? I can keep both knobs in the car, let you check them out there, as dirty as that sounds “You can handle my knobs at a sausagefest!” lol

Red - in gonna try and make it to that but i already promised some friends i would go to the track for travers weekend and then i have a bachelor party to go to later on

I do whole heartedly want to play with your knobs lol no homo

I though the cheapest you could get a tripod was around 100 bucks but hell if its only 15 or 20 ill order one up.

pics from today

drool…

thanks man, gotta have you take some pics too at some point

So I wanted to put in a weighted shift knob like redevil but I can’t figure out how to get mine off, usually it’s just a screw on knob but I can’t get it off to save my life

Reading through the Internet it says there is a 17 mm nut at the base which might be true but I cannot access that since I have a plastic round housing at the base where the knob meets the shift lever and boot.

Anyone have any suggestions ?

Sorry i’m of no help, but when you figure it out please post up what you did, pretty sure i’m going to have to do the same with my SI

Sounds like the boot clips to the collar, have to twist the boot 90* and down to access the nut. In my Tsx, it just twisted off, counterclockwise. I did use rubber clamp to get leverage to spin it though. These guys suggest a strap wrench, same idea.

wait so does that mean once i take the knob off since i have to rotate the boot 90* to get the the nut, that i can just do the reverse and it wil go back up and i will not have a hanging lose boot?

I… have no idea. :rofl

Mine has some gap between the boot and knob yes, like half a centimeter maybe. Whenever I pull the console apart so I can swap radios, I will be sure to take pictures. I know mines a different gen, but they are all Hondas, and pretty much the damn same car.

Have to see how much of a bitch your console would be to get under. If you can get under the boot easy enough, just do a ziptie on the shifter to hold the boot and it wouldnt matter, because you wouldnt see anything.
