"Aftermarket" Warantees...?

Well… I’ve heard of it, but I have never purchased one or even know anything about it.

Where?

Who?

Best out there?

Worth it?

BTW, this would be for a 2002 Honda S2000

Just wondering.

Thanks

wynns is one of the best that i can remember and i belive you can buy it on any vehicle.

I think bigronsaudi’s dad’s company does it

Wynn’s sucks ass they never wanna pay claims. JM&A warranties are pretty good. The best hands down Toyota, yes they sell warranties. Contionuos Customer Care is the warranty co. name. BEST HANDS DOWN TRUST ME I work at a car dealer ship.

give me karma biooootch

Really i had wynns and never had a problem, but oh well that was my opinion.

api or univerasl underwriters are by far the 2 best, i know i used to deal with them on a dailey basis. def. worth is if u are going to keep that car past base warrt. big tip-if the car will be modded find a dealer thats kool like autohaus. all these warrt companies tend to ask if car is modded. once they see its modded they will take that chance to void ya warrt and run away with the good money u paid them.

Don’t do it, they are all a scam/waste of money. The amount of money you spend on a policy, you could put it in the bank and let it earn interest until you need it to fix something with your car.

Insurance is the biggest scam in America today.

P.S. Stook?! You can’t fit in a stook :stuck_out_tongue: , what happened to the EVO?

thats not true, ive seen people pay 1100.00 dollars for a policy and in 2 yrs spend 4500… of the company’s money on repairs. i would first do ya research and see the weak point(s) in the car. if there is alot of them ext warrt would be the way to go

why even post? if nyspeed is so bad?? remember the saying you would always say, “if you dont like it then leave” take some of your own advice and do what toda says and leave.

when i worked at firestone, afftermarket insurance was great, it coverd alot of shit on cars, so when a customer had something go wrong, he only had to pay a deductable, we loved when a aftermarket insurance car came in. it was win win.

pinacle, wings are both good0

I dunno EMX. In the two policies I’ve had, I’ve been burned by “aftermarket” insurance more times than I can count. I always had a hassle getting them to pay for anything. Honestly, the repairs I ended up doing to my car (at the time I had it) were less than my total premium payment.

If you can find a good company, I guess go for it. But read all the fine print, and don’t be surprised if they look for a way out of paying for repairs on the car. ESPECIALLY if you mod it.

true, i guess it would be good if you had a car like an explorer or a blazer where shit goes wrong every day lol, but on a S200, i prob wouldnt get it.

talk to bigronsaudi…his dad owns a used car insurance deal…and ron does the work for him…i know he deals mostly with dealerships, but im sure they do individual sales too

wynns made me order 2000 dollars in parts for there inspector to come and tell me will only pay for 1000 dollars of it. so i got tottally fucked in the ass with 1000 dollars in vdub parts

I hate Wynn’s, they suck to deal with. I actually paid out of pocket just to avoid dealing with them. I wouldn’t recommend them.

unnnghhhhhhhhh :tspry:

imo u couldnt be more wrong i my friends gf bought one after she got her teg, and even after modding her car, she was able to make claims, even through places such as hybrid connection, and it is fully covered, and has saved her a great deal of money.

So i dont think they are a horrible i dea, i can ask her what hers is called

i beleive its called guardian

i had autowarrantybycom or something like that for the regal, they replaced my water pump, and a whole bunch of things on it, without asking one question.

the only thing they wouldent replace was the FP resistor.

ya alot of these companies are good, obviously they wont replace shit that you have modified ( ie FP shit, iassume u modified it cuz of the turbo and everything)

but overall good ideas IMO

HOT CHOICE HOWIE

Sorry to bump a old message but my name was thrown out and figured I would provide some info.

I used to work with a company in NY that provides service contracts (extended warranties), F&I products, etc to many franchise and used car dealers. I now work for GM Protection Plan (GMPP) in Detroit, MI.
The company I used to work for did business with Wynns when they were a product warranty and paid claims, now not so much.
I would only suggest a manufacturers backed product or one that has an “A” AM Best rating or better fully insured product. Multiple service contract companies go under every year leaving the customer/dealer holding the bag.
Also we are not really interested in direct to customer sale of service contracts so please do not ask unless I know you.
Lastly, service contracts are a great thing if priced correctly. The rip off mentality is due to dealers excessively marking up the product leaving people with higher expectations than what the product provides. I bought one for my car, because I believe in the value of the product.

If you have any questions feel free to let me know. I grew up my whole life dealing with these and now do it for a living.
