Just curious if anyone has used any warranty work done through this outside warranty company called Penn Warranty. Also wondering if anyone knows of any repair facilities in Buffalo or Rochester that do work for them. On their website, it says to call to find out. I’ve never heard about them until this weekend, so I’m curious.
I did a quick google search on them and a few “bad business” hits pop up, but then you read them and its all one guys story just in different websites.
I just want to be prepared if my trans or transfer case lets loose. Its fine now, but you never know. And yeah, I have the SRT too, which has a big dumb wing
we should have yellow car meet for pics and cruise… and see how many times we get pulled over :P… theres atleast 5 yellow cars on the board…
But I would call the company and tell them you just bought a car with there insurance wondering if you ever needed work how they would handle it… and if there jurks I wouldnt hold my breath on them covering anything…lol
I have dealt with them and have many bad stories.
Some including junk yard parts and not reimbursing all of the labor cost.
I am sure whoever sold it to you or gave it to you has faith in them or they wouldn’t have spent the money on it. Have them do the work and collect from the Penn.
ive had some good experiences and some bad experiences with them at northtown…they don’t always want to pay for good parts but usually they pay on time and promptly, which is good from my aspect on the business lol
Delt with them several times in the past. Make sure the labor rate they pay per hr is not less than the shops rate that does the work or you will be paying the difference. They dont usually pay for any fluids, which I think is dumb. If the cost of the repair is too high, they reserve the right to just refund the cost of the policy. That way if your engine pops, & you cant find a used one, the cost of repairing or replacing is higher than the policy cost, they can take the cheap way out. I could tell a dozen horror storys on the aftermarket warrantys. If I was going to buy one, I’d only go with the factory extended warranty. (GMPP) etc. A friend bought a new envoy, purchased the aftermarket warranty, was told that if he didnt ever use it, they would give him 75% of the purchase price back after 4 years. Well, his water pump went bad after 3.5 years in. He didnt want to make a claim & lose his $$ so he paid for it himself, a cost of $375. At the end of 4 years he tried contacting the warranty co to get his 75% back. Thats when he found out they went out of business. So not only did he lose his 75%, he also lost the cost of his H2o pump repair. He couldnt say I didnt warn him.
