Airport Hangar Roof Fail

One of the members on TTNET posted this up. Crazy stuff:

Got Job Security?

I think I do…

Dulles Airport, Herndon VA…Today

I think the G-V will be salvageable… but the Global Express and Challenger, probably not so much. The G-IV is probably salvageable too…

Love to see that bill!

looks like it was even before we got all the snow.

imported steel.

How can you tell it’s imported?

gonna take a hell of a long time to fix that without fucking up those planes anymore.

It broke. :bush:

Link?

I like how they say some of the planes are salvageable. lol Hate to be the passengers on a plane that had a roof fall on it. :ohnoes:

should have went with a morton…

insurance is a great thing sometimes.

that’ll buff right out.

That makes me sad.

I was wondering how long that would take… 12 posts.

That’s what would happen if willybeen was piloting those jets.

There goes a few hundred million.

Never saw a plane do a wheelstand in a hanger before! :smash2:

Wow I live right next to IAD (like 100 yards away) and didn’t even hear about this. Somebody should’ve checked their roof load and been clearing during the storm, but guess that’s not a priority.

Dam!!! Looks like some welds failed and then everything cascaded from there. Love how that .5-1" steel just tore like cardboard.
