Albany underground is online, it has always been online.
Heres a quick run down of what the issue is /was
Domains like albanyunderground.net are supposed to point to a server via IP address… thats how it works.
Albany Underground was setup somehow with the IP being used as the domain instead of the .net domain under every configuration you can imagine.
The domain was even redirecting to the servers ip as a url… wtf.
yeah so basically what caused the situation that resulted in no one being able to go to the site was this:
The domain first expired… not a big deal… so it was renewed right away.
IN COINCIDENTAL CIRMCUMSTANCE, somehow the webhost for AUG decided to do a server change and that resulted of course in a new IP address.
No websites should of been affected by this server switch unless they relied on directly using the ip address, but AUG was setup like that so ofc the old IP was trying to be accessed which isnt in existance anymore…
There is alot more to the bs, but basically the company who hosts the domain is so half assed that their fucking control panel doesnt even work, you cant send transfer requests without them having some sort of failure to deliver… and then on top of that the web host for aug is triple fucked in so many ways its not worth going over.
Basically everything will work sooner or later… alot more teeth and hair to pull in the meantime
